Officers are searching for a Richmond County man after his girlfriend was sent to the hospital with a shotgun wound to the leg.
Authorities were called to Sycamore Drive just before midnight on Tuesday where they found the woman with a gun wound to the leg, said Investigator Philip Snead.
The woman said she and her boyfriend Isaac Leroy Hunter, 29, were arguing when she shut the door on him. He then retaliated by firing a shotgun through the door, injuring her leg. Hunter then fled the scence, according to officers.
The woman is believed to be in good condition at Medical College of Georgia Hospital.
Hunter faces charges of aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
