Richmond schools investigating 'improprieties' against pupil

The Richmond County School System administration is investigating an allegation of improprieties committed against a Collins K-8 School pupil by a staff member, schools spokesman Louis Svehla said in an e-mail.

The employee, whose identity and position were not released, has been placed on administrative leave while the investigation is being conducted.

Additional information will be made available as conclusions are reached, Svehla said, adding that the school district's School Safety and Security Office is part of the investigation.
