Searchers are continuing efforts this week to locate missing angler Scott Craig, who vanished Jan. 22 during a fishing trip at Thurmond Lake.

“We are still doing all we can to find him,” said Lt. Robert McCullough of the S.C. Department of Natural Resources. “We’re doing land and water searches and we will be doing some aerial searches as well, when weather permits.”

The 36-year-old North Augusta man was fishing alone in his 15-foot War Eagle boat, which was later found capsized near the lake’s South Carolina side.

Georgia’s Department of Natural Resources and other agencies are involved in the search as well.

Sad, don't fish alone this

Sad, don't fish alone this time of year. Hypothermia can kill the moment you hit the water!
