Authorities had been looking for suspects in the hit-and-run death of a man killed while walking with his son.
Police say 48-year-old Tony Kuykendall was walking with his 14-year-old son Saturday night when he was hit. He was taken to Kennestone Hospital, where he died.
Authorities say the boy was not hit.
A police spokesman says the suspect, 31-year-old Jeffery Brookshire, said he decided to come forward on Monday after seeing media coverage of the crash.
Brookshire now faces charges of vehicular manslaughter and hit-and-run.
