Marijuana bong leads to altercation at party

A party on Champion Pines Lane in Augusta escalated into an altercation when a marijuana bong was pulled out, according to a report filed with the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.

Shae Marie Foss said that Jonathan Mitchell pulled out a marijuana bong and attempted to light it. Foss said that when she slapped the lighter out of his hand Mitchell started shoving her toward her car.

Mitchell hit her in the face, she said, and forced her into the backseat of the car. He then drove her to the Pilot gas station on Jimmy Dyess Parkway, where she got out of the car and ran for help.

Foss said she wants to press charges against Mitchell, who is employed as an assistant manager at Claire’s in the Augusta Mall, according to a sheriff’s report.
