$2,000 stolen from American Legion post

About $2,000 was stolen from the American Legion Post 63 following a break-in Monday morning, according to an incident report.

Authorities were called to the scene after an employee at the post at 90 Milledge Road noticed the padlocks had been removed from the doors. There were no signs of forced entry, but the employee told officers the doors had been padlocked at closing around midnight Sunday. The locks could not be located.



Savannah River Site resumes normal activity

A suspicious item was discovered Wednesday afternoon at the Savannah River National Laboratory which prompted emergency responseactivities.
