Man arrested after walking into North Augusta police station with gun, liquor

NORTH AUGUSTA -- A man who wandered into the booking room of the North Augusta Department of Public Safety was found with a handgun and a flask of Crown Royal, according to an incident report.

Jamar Capri Taylor, 22, of the 800 block of Jackson Avenue, willingly showed officers his identification after being discovered but he refused a pat down, police said..

He then resisted officers’ attempts to restrain him.

Taylor was issued a ticket for disobedience to a lawful order of police officer and for resisting arrest. A warrant is being sought for unlawful carrying of a pistol, police said.
