Aiken, Columbia and Richmond county schools will delay Wednesday classes by two hours, all districts announced this afternoon.

In the three districts, buses will run two hours later than normal for students to be at their stops. Schools will open their doors two hours later than their normal start time.

Central office staff and 12-month employees should report at their normal scheduled time or when reasonably safe to travel, Columbia County Superintendent Charles Nagle said.

In Richmond County, all central office, maintenance and transportation employees should report at their regular scheduled time, weather permitting, Superintendent Frank Roberson said.

Aiken County schools announced opted for a two-hour delay after announcing earlier this afternoon that they would operate on a normal schedule.

Students there will make up the two snow days on Feb. 21, which is Presidents Day, and March 4, which originally was a teacher in-service day.

Schools in both Edgefield and McDuffie counties will be closed Wednesday.
