Body found in burning Ga. residence

NAHUNTA, GA. -- Firefighters battling a house fire near this south Georgia community found a man's body inside the structure this morning, officials said.

The victim was tentatively identified as Samuel Curry, 55, said Wayne Whitaker, spokesman for the State Fire Marshal's Office.

Curry had been known to stay at the abandoned mobile home. His body is being sent for positive identification and an autopsy to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation crime laboratory, he said.

"The fire is being considered accidental at this time. There was no power to the home but there also was no sign of foul play," Whitaker said.
