An Arizona-based real estate investment trust has purchased Select Specialty Hospital in Augusta as part of a multihospital deal it completed in late December, according to a news release.

Healthcare Trust of America Inc. purchased the Walton Way facility, as well as a hospital in Texas and two in Florida, for about $102 million, according to the release from Healthcare Trust of America, Inc.

The Augusta hospital has 80 beds and provides long-term, acute care for patients who are ready to leave a larger hospital but are not ready to go back to their home or a nursing home, according to its website.

The four hospitals are leased to and operated by Select Medical Corporation, according to the news release.
