Former president signs books in Atlanta


ATLANTA — Hundreds of people gathered at an Atlanta bookstore where former President George W. Bush and his wife Laura appeared together to sign copies of their books.

A line snaked around the Borders Books & Music in north Atlanta today as fans waited to get a signed copy of the ex-president's recently published book Decision Points and his wife's book Spoken from the Heart.

Visitors went through a gauntlet of security checks before they could meet the Bushes.

The president greeted visitors enthusiastically. He also posed for pictures with Laura, telling reporters: "That's an exclusive."


Savannah River Site resumes normal activity

A suspicious item was discovered Wednesday afternoon at the Savannah River National Laboratory which prompted emergency responseactivities.
