Zoo Atlanta gorilla pregnant

ATLANTA - A gorilla at Zoo Atlanta is pregnant.

Zoo Atlanta officials say Kudzoo, daughter of famed western lowland gorilla Willie B., is expecting her second infant in the spring. Zoo officials estimate she is about two and a half months into her pregnancy, which typically lasts about eight months in gorillas.

Kudzoo is being watched closely by zoo officials. She had a miscarriage earlier this year after becoming pregnant in 2009.

The zoo has the nation's largest collection of western lowland gorillas with 23 of the primates living in Atlanta
