The Salvation Army will soon be accepting applications for Christmas assistance.

The organization anticipates more than 9,000 individuals will be provided with assistance this Christmas season by providing toys, gifts and food to the homeless and low-income families.

Applications will be accepted Dec. 9-10 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at The Salvation Army’s Center of Hope at 1384 Greene Street.

Applicants must apply in person and provide a photo ID and social security cards for all family members, as well as proof of income and expenses.
