Evans had been scheduled to appear in Atlanta Municipal Court on Wednesday in the drunken driving case that led to his resignation.

Evans was arrested on the night of June 30, minutes before a new contract paying him over $500,000 a year was to take effect. He resigned five days later.

The police report says a state trooper pulled over Evans' 2009 BMW. Evans was charged with DUI, illegal lane change and failure to submit to an alcohol test.

Evans' companion, Courtney Fuhrmann, was charged with disorderly conduct for allegedly refusing to obey a trooper's request to stay in the car. She is scheduled to be arraigned Jan. 13.

This guy will be convicted.

Unpublished

This guy will be convicted. But a guy (non-minority) in Florida, who was a hero in the '97 World Series, was acquitted after testing above the limits, and killing a woman. He was ABOVE the limit while driving a car and killed a woman. He got off according to CourtTV. Now Evans was not involved with a fatality but watch what happens...he's gonna be painted as the devil himself and will be convicted by a jury in that state. His chances at justice are slim & none, so expect him to do some time.

I don't guess justus wants to

I don't guess justus wants to talk about Donte' Stallworth who was given 30 days for killing a pedestrian while driving drunk in Miami. It's about money, not race.

y'all leave justus alone.

y'all leave justus alone. he's bummed because, yet again, another under- qualified minority is given a job, and he follows in the footsteps of so many before him. i'm glad the state trooper caught him. who knows how much embarrassment he (the trooper) saved our great university. i'm sure it was just a matter of time before he was caught funding a dog fighting ring, or abusing his position for his own monetary gains, accepting bribes, etc..

double, I have no idea.

double, I have no idea. Probably both. With money and a good lawyer, you can get away with murdering two people in one night, regardless of your race.
