Crime is everywhere. The

Crime is everywhere. The authorities know who committed the two murders already and I have no doubt this murderer will be apprehended.
Who would want to shoot a 15yr. old girl? Everyday we read about another person being killed. Monuments and candle-light vigils are not going to stop the meanness. I'm sorry for this family's loss.

So sad for the family. What

So sad for the family. What is this world coming to? I am thinking it is time to keep a loaded weapon in the house. My kids are grown enough where I feel comfortable doing it. My prayers for the family!!

I'll go ahead and be the

I'll go ahead and be the first one to say it, because it's going to be the first thing on many people's minds (after, of course, the tragedy of human loss). Why was this child not in school today? There has to be some accountability to the parents to protect their children and part of that duty includes ensuring that kids are where they belong (which is in school unless they are Sick).

There was an interesting movie on in the early morning hours today, The Trigger Effect. It was very instructive relative the current escalation in violence, even in places that usually are considered fairly peaceful and safe.

Tragic story, but until

Tragic story, but until someone is convicted as such, this death is a homicide.

Notasheep - why wouldn't it

Notasheep - why wouldn't it be a homicide case? Are you leaning to suicide or accident? The story did mention 'murder'.

My thoughts and prayers are

My thoughts and prayers are with this girls family and friends. We'll have to wait to find out the details (why she was not in school, if there was an altercation or if it was random, etc...). No matter what the details are, this is tragic.
