GREENSBORO, Ga. - Authorities say a sheriff's deputy and another person were killed in a shooting.
Georgia Bureau of Investigation spokesman John Bankhead says Sunday that Greene County Sheriff's Chief Deputy Kevin Roberts and another unidentified person were killed in the shooting.
Bankhead said GBI agents are on scene investigating the deaths.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that the unidentified dead man took his own life after shooting the deputy about 8:30 a.m.
Let us all pray for the deceased Greene County Deputy and his mourning family. This story points out how dangerous police work is, and how people should stop taking police officers for granted!
bclicious assumes that we in the public don't know how dangerous it is to have a job where people shoot at you and he also points out that we, the public, take officers for granted. Yes, you are right B. You are the only one in the world who knows that and we thank you for keeping us in check. God bless this officer and his family.
The world's full of irrational and impulsive people.
Do you people really believe Obama can be beat? That's silly the power's that be will never let that happen. it's already been proven that ACORN will lie & cheat & no one has stoped this nor will they. America you need to get ready for 2016 NOT 2012. IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN!!!
I'd like to know the details behind this death.
This link has more details. The man went to the deputy's house and shot him when he answered the door. Then apparently killed himself. http://www.wsbtv.com/news/25788929/detail.html
