A 31-year-old Augusta man was robbed at gunpoint and shot in the back early this morning, according to an incident report.

Henry Mims told officers he was sitting in his home in the 1700 block of Telfair Street just after midnight when two men shot the front door with a shotgun and proceeded to kick it in.

The two men then shot the gun in the air and they chased Mims, who had made a getaway out the back door, down the street, police said.

On the 500 block of Bohler Avenue, the men caught up with the victim, forced him to the ground and removed almost $250 from his pockets, the report stated.

Police said Mims tried to make a getaway again but was shot in the back with birdshot.

Authorities said the victim was transferred to Medical College of Georgia hospital where doctors said his wounds were superficial.

Police said Mims is would not release any further information on the incident.

I've gotten way to many bad

I've gotten way to many bad girl emails for *assuming* what a victim did or didn't do, so all I got to say is thank goodness the man wasn't more seriously injured!

Oh no ICL, not from you:) lol
King, other than the typo in the sentence, it means the *victim* is not forthcoming on the details of the attack/robbery.
