North Augusta Pizza Hut robbed

NORTH AUGUSTA -- A North Augusta Pizza Hut employee told officers a man pushed her into the safe and demanded she hand over the money Monday evening, according to an incident report.

She was bent over putting the money in the safe around 11:10 p.m. at the 616 E. Martintown Road location when the subject ran in the store and pushed her into the safe, police said.

When he asked for the money, authorities said she handed a little over, but it wasn't enough. "Give me all the money," he said and then struck her in the face.

After receiving all the money, the man fled. Witnesses said he met up with another man behind the store. Both of the men then ran to Wendy's where they were picked up by a dark-colored SUV.
