A home invasion call Tuesday led to a North Augusta man being arrested for possession of marijuana, according to an incident report.

Two men said they were alone at a friend's home on the 1000 block of Skyview Drive in North Augusta when they heard a knock at the door about 10:30 p.m., police said. The friend who answered the door told officers he was immediately struck in the face with a silver handgun.

The two gunmen made the victims lie on the ground while they searched the men and the residence, police said.

But when homeowner, Christopher Watson, drove up in the yard, the headlights frightened the gunmen, who ran from the home and jumped over a fence, police said. Victims said they thought they heard gunfire as the men ran from the home.

Officers on the scene discovered a substance believed to be marijuana in the backyard in a Mason jar. More marijuana was discovered inside the residence.

Watson, 33, was charged with possession with intent to distribute.

Advocating a continued

Advocating a continued increase in mayhem & tyranny solely for the purpose of financial gain, like the prison guard's union, the DEA, or the alcohol industry, is both despicable and unconscionable.

May I ask you all to please consider the following very carefully: It wasn't alcohol that caused the surge in crime and homicide during alcohol prohibition in the 1920s, it was the prohibition of alcohol. That's why many of us find it hard to believe that the same thing is not happening now. We clearly have a prohibition fueled violent crime problem. A huge number of these violent crimes are perpetrated by criminal syndicates and gangs who use the proceeds from the sales of illegal substances to further even more of their criminal activities.

The second biggest business during prohibition in Detroit was liquor at $215 million a year and employing about 50,000 people. Authorities were not only helpless to stop it, many were part of the problem. During one raid the state police arrested Detroit Mayor John Smith, Michigan Congressman Robert Clancy and Sheriff Edward Stein.

The Mexican cartels are ready to show, that when it comes to business, they also like to be nonpartisan. They will buy-out or threaten politicians of any party, make deals with whoever can benefit them, and kill those who are brave or foolish enough to get in their way.

If you support prohibition you've helped create the prison-for-profit synergy with drug lords.

If you support prohibition you've helped remove many important civil liberties from those citizens you falsely claim to represent.

If you support prohibition you've helped put previously unknown and contaminated drugs on the streets.

If you support prohibition you've helped to escalate Murder, Theft, Muggings and Burglaries.

If you support prohibition you've helped escalate the number of people on welfare who can't find employment due to their felony status.

If you support prohibition you've helped evolve local gangs into transnational enterprises with intricate power structures that reach into every corner of society, controlling vast swaths of territory with significant social and military resources at their disposal.

Prohibition is nothing less than a grotesque dystopian nightmare. We have to regulate, and there's simply no time like the present!

awesome comment from above

awesome comment from above and yes your right we do have private prisons for profit that must maintain a certain number of inmates to turn huge profits the numbers are grossly inflated 60 000 to 100 000 to house and inmate a year get off of that you have people that maintain a house, car payments, and kids on less than that and do just fine..but thats why you will do more time that a rapist for getting caught with weed

Clearly you don't know N Aug

Clearly you don't know N Aug Public Safety. lmao
Even IF they attempted to find so called invaders, the law is still the law. You are in possession of illegal substances, you go to jail! Law abiding citizens expect no less. Just because the place was invaded, doesn't mean you walk away scott free.

I suppose the jar being

I suppose the jar being outside and/or him allowing the police in let this fall under search and seizure.

Watch out of your the victim of a crime you still might end up arrested. I guess the armed home invaders are a lesser concern to North Augusta Public Safety.

Like Grandma always said...

Like Grandma always said... "Make sure you have clean underwear on, you never know if you'll be in an accident and somebody will see them nasty things."

The Moral: Don't keep items that are illegal in plain site. Hide it if you gotta have the stuff.

Anyone aiding and abetting

Anyone aiding and abetting the drug cartels in keeping weed at the inflated price it is, is using your tax money against the very taxpayer that paid it. This is a FELONY. So now that we KNOW the North Augusta cops are FELONS who work for the cartels to keep the price of weed high, who is going to arrest them? I don’t smoke anything, if you do I hope you quit, but anyone in favor of supporting the drug cartels by keeping pot profits high is a traitor to the United States of America and should be run out of town and someone put in the their place that WILL track down the Home invaders, murderers, rapist, bank robbers, child molesters, arsonist, burglars, car jackers, con artist, etc. etc. etc.. At the VERY least they are performing misapropriation of tax money which is ALSO a FELONY. If you look at Aiken Counties most wanted site they haven’t caught a SINGLE one of them and let one get away when they had his house completely surrounded. The only way any of these killers and felons are going to get caught in N. Aug. is if they are speeding. That’s why they call N Aug Cops DOG COPS. All they do is chase cars. They are the LAUGHING STOCK of the entire CSRA. If your loved one gets killed in N. Augusta the DOG cops have their blood on their hands through public endangerment by not taking care of PRIORITIES.

The Shadow, your 9:52 is simple fact. The government propaganda machine (and government education) has convinced people that doing the same thing and expecting different results is the NORMAL way to act.
