A man selling peaches from the back of his truck reported he was robbed at gunpoint around 9:30 p.m. Saturday at the 3300 block of Burton Drive in Augusta.

Marvin McFadden told law enforcement an unknown man in his early 20s approached him about buying peaches, then told him to lie down on the ground and demanded his money.

Were they really selling

Were they really selling peaches on Burton Drive, Augusta 30906? Can't say that it's exactly on the beaten path, is there a farm tucked away back there? It's a few turns off Georgetown Drive, and Georgetown is the subdivision across from the Deans Bridge (Hwy 1) and Bobby Jones Walmart. Just peachy.

John Boy: Great to hear from

John Boy: Great to hear from you again. Maybe we need to remind everyone that an armed society, is a polite society. When Gun ownership became MANDITORY in Kennesaw GA, crime plummeted 74% 1st yr another 45% in 83 compared to 1982...Coincidence?
