MARIETTA, Ga. (AP) - Authorities have charged a 66-year-old driver with hit-and-run in the death of a pedestrian who was struck and killed after crossing a busy road.

Francisco Ponce Gonzalez was charged Saturday with felony vehicular homicide and hit-and-run in the death of the pedestrian who was killed Friday crossing Cobb Parkway. The name of the victim has not been released.

Authorities say a second vehicle may have been involved in the accident and that the investigation is ongoing.

What child?
I imagine the driver did feel/see the walker, otherwise why leave the scene? He hit them, and hauled tail! Glad he will (hopefully) serve time for taking someones loved ones life.

Cobb Pkwy. is a major thoroughfare here, but it has very few blind spots. In my opinion, Gonzalez was impaired and the trash that hit the victim the second time and fled needs to be tied down on Cobb Pkwy. and run over repeatedly.
