An Augusta resident bought a lottery ticket worth $100,000, lottery officials announced Thursday.
The ticket was purchased at First Stop, 1901 Gordon Highway, and was part of the Georgia Lottery instant game Fall into Money, according to a press release.
The winner, an unidentified Augusta woman, claimed her top prize Wednesday at the Georgia Lottery’s Augusta district office.
“I’m excited,” said store owner Jayesh Patel, who sold the winning ticket. “She showed me the ticket, and she hugged me.”
According to Patel, word is spreading quickly that First Stop is a lucky lottery store.
“More and more people are coming in and buying tickets,” he said. “I’m proud of my store.”
Does he get a cut from a scratch off? I didn't think so.
Oh Lord grinder48 that was funny, but both he and his wife are very nice well spoken people. Forgive me Dear Lord for laughing so hard at ginder48's comment. It just struck my funnybone.
