Columbia County authorities released a surveillance video this morning of an armed robbery that took place last month in Harlem.
Police are looking for a man they say robbed a convenience store at gunpoint on Aug. 25.
A man entered the Jet Food Store at 355 W. Milledgeville Road at about 3:45 a.m. armed with a handgun. The man approached the cashier, who was mopping, forced her to the register and demanded cash, Harlem Department of Public Safety Chief Jesse Bowman said.
After taking cash from the register, the robber left the store and ran west toward the car wash next door, Bowman said. The cashier was not injured.
Bowman described him as a slender black man, 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-10, wearing a black bandana over his face, a black skull cap, gloves, blue jeans and a black T-shirt.
Anyone with information about the man’s identity or whereabouts should call the Harlem Department of Public Safety at (706) 556-6262.
This pathetic lowlife thug needs to stop some bullets.
Why does Jet Food Store feel the need to be open at 3:45AM?? That poor woman had to go through extreme terror from this thug. I also hope that someone can point him out to RCSO, and that he will feel some terror himself!!! 10 years mandatory for armed robbery!!
Where's the rest of the audio?? It stopped just after the 30 second mark. Seems that the more audio there was, the better chance that someone could recognize his voice. Hope they catch the punk!
