ATHENS, Ga. -- Football fans who need assistance in Sanford Stadium this season will be able to send text messages to a central command post during games this season.

UGA and In Stadium Solutions will start the text message-based communication system Sept. 4 for the 2010 home opener against Louisiana-Lafayette.

Fans in the stadium will be able to text "DAWGS (space) the issue and location" to 69050. Standard data and SMS rates apply.
