I cannot understand, why some people do not want the immigrants here.Who do they think, is going to do all that they do?? When was the last time one of you worked the fields? That job went to them when african americans, decided that they were not going to do it!!!!!!! A certain race of people have never known what it was like to work the fields, because they felt that, that type of work was beneath them. They work the reasturants, they clean the hotels,etc. They do all the work, that some of you did not allow your children to do. So who do you think is going to do it???? When you go in a supermarket the next time, or in a hotel, think about who put the clean sheets on your bed, or who picked the food that is on your plate!!!!!! Until you people decide that you or your children are going to do what they do, then just deal with it!!!!!!!!!!!

1941-It's not about "immigrants"! It never was about legal immigrants. The issue is about illegal (alien) immigrants, who should be aka. invaders. You know, the people who are so poor and under educated that they think it's OK to pay someone big bucks to smuggle them into our country, steal someone's Social Security number, work under the table so as not to pay taxes, sap social services because their income is below the poverty line. It's those so called immigrants that everyone is against. They are illegal from the time they cross into our country until the time they are escorted back across the border.

1941, they are doing construction trades,also. There are enough "Americans" to do these jobs. But they will not do them for $8 an hour. These illegals get a 1099 form, don't pay any taxes, go to the emergency room, we pay for that, go to public schools, we pay that, hit you with an insured car, we pay that. Also, there is a big difference between legal migrant field worker, and illegal hispanic squatters. Some time I wonder if the people who are so quick to defend these criminals,also are profitting from them being here.

Driver8 - the way to stop it is not government regulation but the eradication of entitlements. Without the entitlements we naturally won't get as many illegals but mainly it will force the unskilled America welfare crowd to go out and actually work these unskilled jobs thus leaving no demand for this illegal labor. The welfare crowd would either have to actually work or shrivel up and die because the welfare and unemployment and SSI and disability and Section 8 and EBT and Medicaid, etc that soley supports millions won't be there for them. That is how you curb illegal immigration. It is all about supply and demand. Now if the welfare crowd refuses and dies off then the number of illegals in America won't change but the burden of millions of taxsucking parasites will no longer be on the taxpayer. A big fence, a bigger moat, and high powerd rifles mounted high up on poles and controlled by motion and heat sensors will also curb the flow of illegals by actually doing what should have been done decades ago.....protecting the sovreignty of America's borders.

chacush - I'm with you on this one. Whites have been working fields in this country since the beginning. Not every farm was a plantation, and many plantations had white sharecroppers, which was actually little more (and in some instances worse off) than slavery. Family owned farms of ALL races have provided the food of this nation until recent times when large corporations began taking over the food production industry. People of ALL races and religions have worked hard to build this nation.
What 1941 states is not being taught in the schools, he thought that one up on his own.

chascush and momster, I agree with both of you my Grandmother and Grandfather were sharecroppers in South Carolina and NE Georgia in the early 1900s.
