Ga. company blamed for misspelled signs

Tennessee town says Georgia firm misspelled its fair signs

COOKEVILLE, Tenn.  - Putnam County Fair officials blame an advertising company in Georgia for printing signs with the county misspelled.

One sign read "Putnman County Fair" and another read "Putman County Fairgrounds."

According to the Cookeville Herald-Citizen, the signs lined roadways before they were removed.

Ron Chaffin, president of the Putnam County Fair Board, said the carnival at the fair had the Georgia company print the signs.
