NAHUNTA, Ga.  - A 32-year-old Nahunta woman is recovering after being shot at a large street party Saturday night.

She was grazed on the face about 11 p.m. by a bullet believed fired from a pistol while two large parties were going on at Eliza Nesbitt Street, said Mike McDaniel, special agent in charge of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation office in Kingsland.

She was treated and released from Satilla Regional Medical Center in Waycross, McDaniel said.

"We don't believe she was the intended victim," he said.

The preliminary investigation indicates the shooting occurred after a fistfight between people from two large groups that were partying. It was not known how many shots were fired, McDaniel said.
