More thunderstorms are expected today, although a heat advisory has been canceled.
Bruce Cherry, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in West Columbia, S.C., said the high is expected to be around 95 degrees. With the heat index, temperatures can feel closer to 106 degrees for at least a few hours in the afternoon, Cherry said.
Thunderstorms are expected to diminish in the evening, with the rest of tonight being partly cloudy.
However, a 30-40 percent chance of showers are expected throughout Thursday, Cherry said.
ASU counseling faculty better take cover...He does not like what you are doing to Ms. Keeton!
Great, another evening of TV being interupted by pointless weather alerts. If a person hasn't figured out that we have afternoon thunderstorms during the summer and they can't figure out what the rumbling noise outside is, I say let em play outside. Maybe society will get lucky and they'll be struck by lightning.
I'm glad they cancelled the heat advisory. Now I know to get the sweaters out of the closet.
