ELLENWOOD, Ga. — A DeKalb County police officer has been shot in the arm in an Ellenwood residential neighborhood.
Police are looking for two suspects in the Wednesday afternoon shooting. Police spokeswoman Mekka Parish said the officer, whose name has not been released, is in serious condition.
He was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta shortly after the incident. Dozens of officers have swarmed the area where the shooting occurred as they search for the suspects.
