Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the CSRA will hold its recruitment fair today - from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. - as part of its process to hire 50 people for its new location on Fury's Ferry Road.

The recruitment fair will be held in Simmons Hall at Warren Road Baptist Church, 3203 Washington Road.

Goodwill is hiring retail workers and managers for its retail store and book shop. It is also hiring people to work the donation drive-through and the Job Connection work placement office.

The new store will open in late August.

Local Goodwill stores do not

Local Goodwill stores do not fund the agency's mission. Store sales go back into the store as well as into the agency's incredibily high paid executives' salaries. There used to be Job Connection staff at every Goodwill store and those staff would have been present to help find 950 people jobs today. The term mission is second to sales in this agency's vision plan.
