SAVANNAH -- A young boy was killed Wednesday when a family member backed over him in a vehicle, according to Savannah-Chatham police.

Just after 5 p.m., police responded to a home in the 300 block of Chevis Road to find Joshua Landen Newman, 3, dead in his own driveway, said Gena Moore, metro police spokeswoman.

The vehicle, a Ford F-150 pickup truck, was driven by a relative of the victim, said Sgt. Anthony Gallo, head of traffic investigations for metro police.

Happened to me at same age,

Happened to me at same age, but fortunately I was in the middle of the car backing up so the wheels went on either side...I still remember looking up at the underside of the car after it knocked me down and hearing my mother screaming...
Condolences to family.
