SOCASTEE, S.C. - A South Carolina teen has drowned after jumping from the swing bridge over the Intracoastal Waterway near Socastee.
Authorities told multiple media outlets the boy was swimming with friends this afternoon when he jumped from the bridge and didn't surface.
The coroner's office did not release the name of the teen, but said he lived in the area near the bridge.
An autopsy has been scheduled for Monday.
Well what else happened? Did he just choose to go somewhere else while they were swimming? Not understanding the circumstances why he would just jump off the bridge? It sounds like water was down there...is that where they were swimming?
