State Rep. Nikki Haley said today she knows there will never be proof.
She would not say what she would consider proof. Instead, she says it's a moot question because nothing happened.
Haley made the comments after two such accusations just days before voters head to the polls in the June 8 primary.
She has refused to release her Statehouse correspondence records, which are exempt from public scrutiny under state law. Her campaign continues to say she won't waste time on what it calls nonsense.
Former first lady Jenny Sanford issued a statement today defending Haley.
