Two demand money, then flee store

Two men tried to rob Wally's Food Store on Windsor Spring Road Monday, but ran out after demanding money, according to a police report.

The two, who covered their faces with rags, came into the store at 4250 Windsor Spring Road, Hephzibah, about 10:59 p.m., police said. One suspect pulled out a gun, pointed it and said, "Give me the money, give me the money," deputies were told.

While the victim was pressing the silent alarm button under the counter, the two men fled without any merchandise or money.
