THOMSON -- Sheriff's Maj. Ronnie Williamson said today one man has been charged following Monday's drug raid in McDuffie County.

Kevin Gaines, 29, of the 1000 block of Old Wrightsboro Road was charged with theft by receiving stolen property and criminal use of an article with an altered identification number.  Williamson said the article was lawn maintenance equipment.

Four other suspects in the case were still on investigative hold at the McDuffie Law Enforcement Center, he said.

FBI Agent Anthony Russo said he did not want to disclose the number taken into custody on Monday, but five people could be seen being brought to the temporary command post/former Georgia State Patrol Post.

At a news conference Monday, federal, state and local law enforcement officials called the raid part of a 9-month drug investigation.

Hush...none of you know what

Hush...none of you know what you're talking about. Just cause you don't know all the details doesn't mean anyone's "rights" were violated. When you do criminal activity, I don't think you deserve "rights". That's the problem in this nation....everyone has too many "rights", but don't want to do the RIGHT thing. Stupidness!

Hey swinter - guess you did

Hey swinter - guess you did not notice those 2 words I used " APPEARS MAYBE " And in case you are in the dark - Police will lie and fabricate reasonable suspicion / probable cause in order to boost their arrest numbers , so even if you are guilty , your rights are trampled upon nevertheless . Get a clue .
