Man robbed of $700 on Gordon Highway

Richmond County sheriff's deputies are are searching for two men connected to an armed robbery this morning on Gordon Highway.

According to a sheriff's incident report, the two men drove into a Gordon Highway parking lot in an older model blue Pontiac Bonneville about 2:50 a.m.  They approached a 25-year-old man, got out of the car, pointed a pistol at him and said, "Give it up."

The victim said he gave them more than $700 in cash, according to the police report.

OK, Countyman is right.

OK, Countyman is right. Augusta is booming, there are all sorts of people walking around with big amounts of cash on them.

Too bad it's made illegally and it can't be ranked. Here's some sample ratings, of which Augusta would score high:

Almost sounds like they

Almost sounds like they robbed a newspaper carrier. The men/women who deliver to businesses and fill the newspaper stands carry large quantities of money on them. $700 does seem like a bit much, though.

He doesn't have to have a reason to have money on him at anytime. I bet the same people that want to know why he had the money on him at a certain time of day want the government out of thier healthcare and pocketbook.....i agree with that just be consistant.
