North Augusta convenience store robbed

NORTH AUGUSTA -- Two men -- one armed with a shotgun -- robbed the Circle K at 226 Georgia Ave., late Monday night.

According to an police incident report, the holdup happened at 11:06 p.m.

The bandits were last seen running south toward the Movie Place store.

A witness saw a  small blue car leaving the alley at Best Friends Daycare after the incident, police said. Aiken County Sheriff's Department also reported looking for a blue car linked to an armed robbery in Beech Island.



Savannah River Site resumes normal activity

A suspicious item was discovered Wednesday afternoon at the Savannah River National Laboratory which prompted emergency responseactivities.
