The 90-minute tour will launch from the landing at River Island community at 6 p.m. Boaters will paddle towards the Fury's Ferry bridge and explore Deep Step, a former cypress swamp that runs parallel with the River. Savannah River history and current issues will be discussed.
Come enjoy the scenic beauty of the flora and fauna found within this valuable natural resource Paddlers are encouraged to bring their own boat. Canoe and kayak rentals are available through Broadway Bait and Tackle in Augusta.
