A federal grand jury has indicted Robert Francis Kwasniak, 38, of Augusta, on charges of interstate traveling to engage in illicit sex with a minor; producing child pornography; and possessing child pornography, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney's Office.

The indictment stems from a joint investigation by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, the North Carolina Bureau of Investigation and the FBI, the press release said. The indictment alleges Kwasniak traveled to North Carolina to engage in sexual acts with a 15 year old girl.

I know that having sex with a minor is bad, but isn't tying up personnel in four law enforcement agencies a little much?

I would assume from your comment LL, that a young girl being exploited internationally on the Internet by a sexual predator and profiteer is not worth the effort, not to mention rape, and the future complications for this young girl when it comes to self-worth, having normal sexual relations with her husband when she finds one, and if she finds one with all the guilt and shame that is often experienced with someone so young being molested and treated as property...wow this coming from a female poster...I''m as appalled by your comment as I am by the story...

Did he travel to NC to engage in sex with a 15 yr old or did he travel to NC to engage in sex with what he "thought" was a 15 yr old who, in actuality was a law enforcement person?

She is from Charlotte, this

She is from Charlotte, this was reported in the Charlotte paper several weeks ago. He went to Charlotte to see her.

The girl is 15.

The mother of the girl found out and called the police. And because this occured in 2 states, LL, plus violated Federal law, yes, there were 3 agencies involved. That's the law. That's due process.

We just thank God the mother found out in time before he raped her.
