Celebrity and entertainment media outlets have been calling the Richmond County Sheriff's Office seeking information on coverage of Tiger Woods at this year's Masters Golf Tournament.
Sheriff's Col. Gary Powell said this morning he has already fielded calls from representatives of the entertainment TV shows TMZ and Extra, who were looking for areas where they could set up for the tournament which begins with practice rounds April 5.
In addition to the usual media agencies covering the Masters, officials expect a large number of entertainment reporters the tournament as Woods plays in his first tournament since revelations of numerous extramarital affairs.
"I told them they can get wherever they can get," said Powell, who added that he does not expect the extra media to cause any security problems.
"I think they will be here but I don't think it will be that bad," he said.

What an abuse of a law enforcement agency. I think the sheriff should give every person who calls about a non-law-enforcement matter a citation with a $200 fine.
I pitty the fool that thinks the AUGUSTA NATIONAL will allow paparazzi. I do not care how well credintial they are. NO WAY. The only chance the paparazzi will have of catching Tiger in Augusta is enroute to the course and back enroute to his rental house. I would guess if they have not already, now would be the time to expect that RCSO will need to have someone stationed there to keep the traffic flowing and not allowing the paparazzi and on lookers to interfere with the guest or residents of that neighborhood. I know that Tiger's people will try to keep it a secret location, but the tabloids have ways ($$$) of making people talk. Once he is here it will be a circus for sure.
"entertainment Media". This is a joke. They are people looking for a big payday with pictures and dirt to sell. The only entertainment Tiger can show me is to watch him play a great round of golf. His private life is of no concern to me. Not only will Tiger be distracted, but the other golfers as well. Leave the man along and let him get on with his life. There are enough "celebrities" making mistakes in their lives to keep the "scum" reporters busy. Leave Tiger alone and let him play golf.
Let them come all they want. Unless they're in the gates of the Augusta National, they're not going to see him.
It sounds like he will be hounded during the tournament, which is a shame. I doubt the National can keep out Hollywood - there are too many regular tickets for sale on ebay. I also wonder how Tiger's staff will rent lodging without anyone finding out where? He might need body doubles to serve as decoys and maybe some 'safe houses' in case someone finds where is is staying. But I agree with teapot - they should leave him alone and let him play the tournament.
More the merrier:) Let them all come and snap their pics. It does no harm to you.. And those media outlets have to stay somewhere and eat while enjoying the beautiful weather. No, they won't get on the course w/o tickets, so why all the articles about this? Enough.. let the golfers play and then go home..
I heard Martha Burke was also staging a protest. Her group is enraged that Tiger did not have any "ugly" mistresses. However, the fact that one was a pancake waitress does help the cause.
It's my understanding that Tiger will stay within the gates of the Augusta National this year in order to avoid this very thing...so I doubt they will see any of him at all. Save the money...go chase Jesse James or something!
Good grief. What does the idiotic tabloid media want? How much more dirt can they shovel? And how about the public's infatuation with this? In case you haven't noticed, while Tiger has been doing his thing, the United States government has taken another huge step towards socialism. Last time I checked, Tiger's personal life has no bearing on anyone elses life, except for his family. So while the media pursues him like a pack of wild dogs, the government is running roughshod over it's citizens. Maybe we ought to be more concerned with our government's behavior more than Tiger's. But, alas, as long as the sheeple are happy watching the media tear a man down, and get some good juicy gossip, they could care less about the government's shredding of the Constitution. Rome is burning, and the fiddler is playing.

Great. Now instead of some ditzy tourist getting squished on Washington Rd, they'll be scraping up the paparazzi instead. They could leave 'em there for the vultures, but I'm sure professional courtesy would prevent the buzzards from eating them.
Tiger's an adult, he's responsible for his behavior. He did this to himself.
What are the paparazzi going to get? A picture of him teeing off? Now there's an amazing scoop! Teeing off at the Masters!
I'm pretty sure the paparazzi wanna catch Tiger playing with his balls in some way! lol. Seriously, who cares what he did, it didn't really affect us, but rather him and his family. Other than that, his personal life should stay away from the Masters.

Rob, The National has the right to confiscate your tickets, so even if they get in, you can be darn sure they'll behave like good little girls and boys...or else.
