Teenager wounded in Aiken fight

A teenager was wounded during a fight Friday night in Aiken, according to the Aiken Department of Public Safety.

Public safety Lt. David Turno said officers were called to a home in the 700 block of Sommers Avenue in Crosland Park, where a fight was reported about 10:35 p.m. 

A man identified only as "Juice" began shooting, Lt. Turno said. Stephon Carter, 17, of Aiken, was shot in the leg and was taken to Medical College of Georgia Hospital. Information on his condition was not immediately available. 

Anyone with information on the identity of "Juice" is asked to call Aiken Public Safety at (803) 642-7620.

Aiken County sure has been hoppin' lately. At least that's the way it seems, I hadn't noticed that much criminal mischief in past years.
