Train kills 1, injures another outside Atlanta

KENNESAW, Ga. - Authorities in Kennesaw say two people were struck by a train, killing one and seriously injuring the other.

It happened after 1 a.m. today at a railroad crossing.

Cobb County Police spokesman Officer Joe Hernandez says the two males, both in their late teens, were lying alongside the railroad tracks when they were hit. Police said they didn't know why the two were there.

The injured person is being treated at a hospital.

Their names were not immediately released.
