Evidence of timecard tampering has led to a recommendation of termination or discipline for six employees at Augusta's Highland Avenue water treatment plant.
An auditor found that two employees clocked each other in for up to 20 hours in a single two-week period that they didn't actually work, Utilities Director Tom Wiedmeier said.
Those two were recommended for termination, he said.
Two others will be suspended without pay for five days. Their supervisor is being demoted to a non-supervisory position and a sixth worker was recommended for a written warning.
Why didnt they get a $100,000 as goodbye money? They didnt fleece the taxpayers for near as much as another employee did.
Wow, why would you even chance losing your job nowadays? There has to be stacks of resumes around there for them to find your replacement.
Maybe they need some surgury? Miss Betty, where are you?
Cracker,
You have Fred to thank for proving this occurred. He is the one that sent the auditors to review the situation.
Two or three more like this and we can call it a trend.
