St. Patrick's Day is March 17, and Augusta is set to celebrate with a parade downtown and festivities throughout the day at Augusta Common.
The 33rd annual parade will begin at 2 p.m. at the James Brown Arena parking lot on Seventh Street, follow Telfair Street to 11th Street, then turn right on Broad Street, take another right on Sixth Street and return to the arena parking lot.
St. Patrick's Day festivities will be from 2 to 9 p.m. at Augusta Common in the 800 block between Broad and Reynolds Streets.
The festival will feature performers, food, beverages and a variety of vendors.

i don't approve of the irish lifestyle, the augusta area is just too conservative and doesn't want this liberal display of debauchery. keep it in savannah, along with your money.
lol. Did Deke get a legal opinion before approving this parade too? Oh the hypocrisy!
Don't worry treerock, they have banned every group that has any fun. It's the most boring parade in the U.S. I wouldn't watch if it was in my front yard and they paid me $500. What ain't right is the taxpayers pay to clean up their mess and provide security.
