A Dearing woman won $45,000 playing Shades of Green, a Georgia Lottery instant game.
According to a news release from the Georgia Lottery, Mireyda Vazquez, 19, says she hopes to use the money to further her education. She purchased her winning ticket at Mills Convenience Store, 3132 Ellington Airline Road in Dearing.
What a wonderful story! She has a good head on her shoulders to plan on using it for her education and securing a good future. Congratulations and kudos.
Good for this young lady. The lottery being used for what it was ntended.
She should not be awarded the money until and unless she can provide proof of legal residency/Green Card/citizenship!
