University of Phoenix starts Haiti shoe drive

The Augusta campus of University of Phoenix has started a shoe drive to help the victims of the earthquake in Haiti.

The local campus is encouraging local residents to donate new and gently worn shoes to the drive.

The shoes collected this month and next will go to a group called Soles4Souls, which will furnish them to Haitian earthquake victims, according to a news release.

Donations can be made at the University of Phoenix at 3150 Perimeter Parkway in Augusta. For more information, call (706) 868-2000.
