NORTH AUGUSTA -- A new mixed-use development is in the works for North Augusta.
City Council unanimously approved on second reading tonight the planned development of Saunders Place. The 21.8 acres are at the intersection of West Martintown and Gregory Lake roads.
Council approved rezoning the property from neighborhood commercial to planned development, which will allow a wider range of businesses.
The property, which likely will be developed in the next three to four years, will have businesses facing West Martintown Road and four residential lots on Gregory Lake Road. About 6.1 acres will be reserved as a natural area.
The final reading on the Saunders Place development plan will be March 1 at 7 p.m. in the municipal building.
"The owner has received an offer from a veterinary clinic with a boarding kennel to sell a portion of the land." This doesn't make the slightest bit of sense. AC, what is this really trying to say?
