Augusta State University officials announced today that ASU has been awarded a $69,300 grant by Simio, the developer of a 3D object-oriented simulation software company.
The grant now makes ASU one of about 100 universities nationwide to join an academic program through Simio, which offers software to schools at no charge.
"To expand and improve our decision sciences offerings in the Hull College of Business, we need to put the best tools in the hands of students and faculty," Todd Schultz, associate dean of the college, said in a release. "Simio allows us to deliver professional quality and state-of-the-practice simulation-based curriculum."
The software provides several capabilities, one being 3D animation.
