Richmond County authorities have asked for the public's help in locating a fugitive sex offender.
Investigator Charles M. Mulherin says that Anthony Alexander Burns, 29, has fled from the supervision of the sheriff's office and the Augusta Probation Office. According to Mulherin, Burns has threatened law enforcement in the past and should be approached with caution. The sheriff's office has warrants on file for his arrest.
Mulherin says that Burns has ties to Richmond and Columbia counties. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Richmond County Sheriff's Office at (706) 821-1080.

"...Anthony Alexander

"...Anthony Alexander Burns...has fled from the supervision of the Sheriff's Office." What in the Sam Hill does that mean? Should the man be incarcerated or not? I've had it with "machine-gun" Ronnie. The Sheriff will blame it on someone else, and if that doesn't work---he'll blame it on the bosa-nova!

Nat the Cat, how about

Nat the Cat, how about reading the article again! It is plainly stated that the fugitive has fled from the supervision of the RCSO..... AND THE AUGUSTA PROBATION OFFICE!!! That means that he may have had an ankle bracelet and then removed it. Throw your verbal darts at the Probation Office...........not the RCSO. Do you never tire of having your head in that dark, moist, smelly place all of the time?

Nat, know your topic before

Nat, know your topic before you blame. There is a judge who put him on probation in the first place.
