A mman is shot multiple times

A mman is shot multiple times in the middle of downtown in a parking lot at rush hour and no one saw a thing? I agree with the sheriff, we don't have a gang or crime problem in augusta, we have a police management problem. And it isn't the officers who are at fault, it is mismanagement of assets that is the problem. But, not to worry, we will keep on electing the same old people because ??????

I remember when living at the Maxwell House Apartments was a good thing. People used to live there for years at a time. It was great for the spinster ladies and the bachelors- they could go downstairs and eat at the coffee shop.

I have posted before...ignore all the shootings and killings in Augusta. The only way it will end will be it will end itself. The ones that could bring an end to this way of life are the one that live in that environment. You know that will never happen.

The Maxwell House, where the

The Maxwell House, where the last developer from Atlanta was "welcomed with open arms" by Marion Williams and Betty Beard. The same developer that paid the 25K Dollars to Betty Beard in order to put in Section 8 Housing at the Maxwell House. What did they expect?

Police need to do something

Police need to do something about downtown now! These gangs are ruining all the hard work shopkeepers have put into revitalizing downtown. Folks will be afraid to shop or live there. Too bad. It is such a pretty place. HIRE MORE COPS!!!!!

People have no respect for

People have no respect for themsleves or others when they get everything for free and the only work they have is figuring out how they can get others to pay their way. If you got to stay at home with your kids all day, got your rent paid, utilities, food, medical, would your trash your environment like most of them do or allow your children to? We could only dream to be so lucky, and they do not appreciate a dang bit of it, if they did, they wouldnt create more dependants and turn their enviornment into trash. Say what you want about me, but section 8, public housing, and even some lame disability claims and the other free you do not have to work programs ruin people and neighborhoods. Leave them in their own hoods and trailer parks to destroy, stop spreading them where they can infect good neighborhoods, the good ones will try to get out and will succeed if they want to. At least you know where to avoid. Even on gangland, the gangsters say they mostly come from some kind of public housing, section 8 and when they start spreading it out in the city its good for the gang because they have more new turf to take over and they will. There's a mentality that goes along with those programs. Most do not legitimately get them and use them as intended with aspirations of being self sufficient. It's just plain as day to anyone with their eyes open in my opinion. Sad thing is, it will never be PC to make these people start taking responsibility in one form or another so it will never change.

Well, it must have been a

Well, it must have been a small cal. or a really poor shot if the person is still alive having been 'shot multiple times.' And they are cutting the Sheriff's budget by $1,000,000.00 yet the DDA gets to keep its $150,000.00....priorities; where a government spends its gold is where its priorities are. Looks like the DDA and all the other leeches are more important than protecting the people. More cops on the streets means less crime on the streets.

So what's the answer folks??

So what's the answer folks?? We know poor people breed more poor people. If we talk about birth control the do-gooders jump up & down.. If we talk about putting subjects in school like birth control, money management, others wouldn't go along with it...So the cycle repeats itself over & over..So while we are pc*ing ourselves to death other countries are passing us by..Let's just say "We are going to take the smart kids & put them in a class where they can excel." We would have folks crying foul, marching, & you know what...So here we are in the same rut with the same results.. We are doing this to ourselves because we don't have the leaders with the GUTS to change it.

Democracy used to be defined

Democracy used to be defined as 'The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few', seems over the years we have gotten this backwards and now the many have to give way to the ( supposed ) needs of a few loud and annoying special interest groups with a bottom-feeding truth-twisting lawyer stating their case.

Another shooting downtown?

Another shooting downtown? Well, I'm staying away until the herd is culled enough so that things calm down a bit. Maybe we need to take a look at how the Western states handle things. There, a person can easily obtain a CCP permit. The idea being that if more citizens were armed, there would be less crime. The way it is now, only the criminals are armed, while the rest of us are potential victims.

Until we eliminate situations

Until we eliminate situations like this, our American society will continue a downward spiral. Most of the articles we debate daily is fueled by incidents like this one sent to me by a detective from up-state New York. PC has a lot to do with everything we do today even the small issue of misuse of food banks and crime.

Real world: I arrested a 23 yr old female, 3 months pregnant, today for grand theft. Never had a job before. The father of her kid was in custody for same crime. I asked her how she gets her money. Answer: Currently receiving $600 for general relief, $200 in SSI, $200 in food stamps. When baby is born, another $200 in GR and $200 more in food stamps. Her boyfriend receives close to $2,000 in welfare (GR, SSI, SSA/ I just learned is a fund for those with a disability after birth, and unemployment, which he probably never had a job but put in a claim, nobody checks). Her disability is ADHD, which is what I have. This is one of many worthy druggies that is milking our system, not to mention the illegals, inmates, etc. We're falling fast. My murder suspects I just started trial on were getting welfare also.

ZERO TOLERANCE! Mandetory drug test for aid! Mandetory birth control for all who get aid! (male or female) Mandetory adult education! Make them work! Make them clean or pick up trash....SOMETHING!

Cobalt, the situation in your post describes that "couple" who receive, or, after the next download, will receive $40,800 per year for doing nothing more that acting crazy, fertilizing eggs, and probably slinging a little dope on the side.....and we sit around and wonder why this world is going to Hell in a handbasket!

Cobalt one she will be receiving you forgot is the compensation by soc sec for the baby who she will claim is the result of a rape she didn't report. That is where the real money is and even if not reported to the police, she still gets it. Now you know why so many don't report who the daddy is. Its a gold mine out there.

Just a bit of news from the

Just a bit of news from the Gwinnett cty. area.. In the paper today more breakins at night (cars in yards) caught 1 guy, others got away. This has exploded here, so much so we are hiring extra police patrol.. Usual suspects, coming from other counties..Just wondering what is the penalty if U shoot someone breaking in your locked car at night,, does anyone know? Some of my neighbors say they will find out after the fact.
